Department of Hindi and Linguistics was established in the year 2006. Other than prescribed syllabus, efforts are made to make this curriculum more innovative and job- oriented. Subjects like Translation, Creative Writing and Functional Hindi are introduced and taught and PG level. Hindi is taught as a compulsory subject at UG level. Research is already going on in Hindi Department and this will be extended this year by introducing M.Phil. PG Diploma in Translation (One Year) is also introduced from this year to facilitate the students in getting central and state government jobs. The Department invites national, international Hindi writers and noted dignitaries to deliver lectures and to motivate students and scholars to become more instrumental in the development of Hindi language.
